Why I Switched from Express to NestJS

## The Problem with Express
Express is great for small APIs. But after building 3 production APIs with it, I started noticing patterns:
- Routes were getting messy
- No standardized way to handle validation
- Dependency injection was manual and fragile
- Testing was a pain
## Enter NestJS
NestJS gave me structure. It's essentially Angular's architecture for the backend — modules, controllers, services, and dependency injection.
### What I Got
- **TypeScript first**: Everything is typed, which catches bugs early
- **Modular architecture**: Each feature is its own module with its own services
- **Built-in validation**: DTOs with class-validator make input validation trivial
- **Testing**: Dependency injection makes unit testing straightforward
## Was It Worth It?
Yes. The initial learning curve paid off quickly. My APIs are more maintainable, easier to test, and new developers can understand the structure in minutes.
